Malcolm X’s Daughter to Speak at University of Wyoming

The third daughter of slain Muslim leader Malcolm X is the keynote speaker at the eighth annual Martin Luther King Jr. and Days of Dialogue¬†celebration at the University of Wyoming next month. Ilyasah Shabazz, who is an author, lecturer and human rights activist, is scheduled to speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. The theme of this year’s celebration that runs from January 18-22 is “Poverty, Politics, and Race” Shabazz was only 2 years old and present when her father, Malcolm X, was assassinated in 1965 in New York.
